How
to prepare for a
Commercial Drivers License

|
|

#1. You must have a D.O.T.
physical.
This can
be done by your own doctor.
Or we recommend: Concentra Medical Centers
2620 E. Prospect Rd.
Ft. Collins. CO.
(970) 221-5811
Cost:
$68.00
|
#2.
Go to the Dept. of
Motor Vehicles office and take the required written tests for the
license class you wish to obtain.
#3.
After passing these tests, get a
CDL Permit (costs $14) and study
sections 11 and 12 of the CDL Drivers Manual (Driving
Skills Test). This section helps prepare drivers for the skills tests,
which will be performed on our site with a CDL tester.
| There
is a new CDL Manual (blue book) out now. The Pre-Trip
inspection is
listed in Section 11 rather than Section 10 of the old
(red) book. Section 12
of this new manual covers maneuvering. This new book has been
proof read
before it went to print and is better than the older (red)
manual. |
|
|
#4. Practice your driving
skills.
